The evening will celebrate the enduring legacy of John Coltrane, bringing beloved jazz standards to life alongside original compositions by Leon Anderson and Eden Rewa. With a stellar ensemble featuring Jamel Mitchell on saxophone, Louis Hereveaux on piano, Kaleb Thompkins on bass, and Leon Anderson on drums, the performance promises a dynamic blend of tradition, creativity, and the next generation of jazz. A standout young artist, Eden Rewa has already shared the stage with such renowned musicians as Nestor Torres, Carmen Bradford, Jason Marsalis, and Arturo Tappin, and was invited to perform with the Count Basie Orchestra in 2025. A graduate of the 3-time GRAMMY Award-winning Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, she currently serves as lead vocalist for Florida State University's top Jazz Ensemble, JE1. With a career spanning decades and performances alongside Wynton Marsalis, Ellis Marsalis, Dianne Reeves, Terence Blanchard, Bobby McFerrin, Hank Jones, Dr. John, and many more, Leon Anderson brings extraordinary depth, versatility, and artistry to the stage.
