She was chosen as an Acoustic Kids Ambassador and has performed at Merlefest or Walnut Valley each year since. Alice has competed in fiddle contests from CO to NC winning multiple awards. Alice was chosen as the Junior Jazz Rising Star and will be the first 2024 Strings intern at Hilton Head Jazz Camp. She regularly performs in the Low Country as a soloist, in a rock duo, Jazz and classical violinist, and in many bluegrass groups. John Cranford John Cranford is a musician, songwriter, and arts advocate best known as the frontman of the band Cranford Hollow. Based in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Cranford has become a prominent figure in the regional music scene, blending Southern rock, folk, and Americana influences to create a distinctive sound that reflects both his roots and his artistic vision. With Cranford Hollow, he has released multiple albums and cultivated a loyal fan base, touring extensively across the United States and sharing stages with notable artists in the Americana and rock genres. Known for his gritty, soulful vocals and compelling storytelling, Cranford’s music often explores themes of place, resilience, and the human experience. Beyond his work as a musician, Cranford is an active advocate for the arts, particularly in his hometown of Hilton Head Island and the surrounding region. He is passionate about fostering community engagement through music and supporting emerging artists. His commitment to the local arts scene is evident through his involvement in organizing events, collaborating with other creatives, and championing music education and accessibility.
