Wilson’s career led him deep into the legendary guitar–organ tradition, where his artistry flourished through an extended collaboration with organ icon Joey DeFrancesco. That partnership resulted in a GRAMMY® Award nomination for Project Freedom (Mack Avenue Records), while allowing Wilson to carve out his own unmistakable musical dialect within one of jazz’s most revered formats. A sought-after collaborator, Wilson has shared the stage with jazz luminaries including Eric Marienthal, Russell Malone, Les McCann, René Marie, Jeff Hamilton, David Sanborn, and Dave Stryker.
